A webbed waterfowl negotiates a thick stand of lotus off the Fox River in Geneva, Illinois. Geneva is home to a wonderful park located on an island in the Fox, and is a short walk to quaint shops and restaurants in its historic downtown area. Geneva's cinematic claim to fame is its use as a setting in the Tom Hanks film The Road to Perdition.Nothing perditious about the idyllic setting the day this photograph was taken. Orton effect and color saturation added in post processing.
